I was heading to Birmingham for the day for a couple drinks and to catch the Estée Lalonde Q&A at Selfridges and I just liked what I was wearing. Here’s another easy and effortless look suitable for drinks in the city.
There is always something about going into the city which makes me feel like I should dress up a little bit more, than if I were just heading down to my local shops. I want to look nice but not over the top and this little ensemble I threw together did just the trick.
Coat – Topshop
Roll Neck – Urban Outfitters
Skirt – Topshop
Boots – Marks and Spencer
I still haven’t magically found the money to source out a new wardrobe, but I did manage to scrounge together the cash for my most recent purchase; over the knee boots which I based this entire outfit around. Over the knee boots are this Autumn’s must have boot, they dress up any outfit without being over the top. The only downside I found with these particular boots is that they are partial to fall down. So unless you want to be pulling them up every two steps, pop on a thick knee sock to help hold their place. A black denim skirt is such a versatile garment and paired with a roll neck adds that extra bit of class but still remains fairly casual. I love this the colour of this roll neck adding a hint of colour to a relatively dark outfit. Finishing off with black boyfriend coat with the collar popped because I’m edgy like that.
An easy, feel good look for drinks in the city. Whats your go to, feel good look this Autumn?
