If you haven’t considered these acts here is a glimpse of what they can offer:
I first stumbled across Gengahr during their set at last year’s Latitude and I certainly won’t be missing them this year! They have recently released their debut LP ‘A Dream Outside’ and have been touring with the likes of The Maccabees and Circa Waves. In the Woods at the iArena is where you will find the band at this years festival, as the sunlights breaks through the trees let Gengahr’s melodic indie beats wash over you.
Huw Stephens has curated one hell of a stage this year. One of my favourite discoveries has been Sundara Karma, who since listening ‘Indigo Puff,’ I’ve been itching to see. Looking for another indie band to love and adore? If you’re a fan of Arcade Fire you will love these guys! New single ‘Flame’ made it into NME’s top 20 on repeat tracks of the week, sure to be a festival sing a long. Get ready to belt out “Hold my flame and set a light, hold my fire screaming inside.”
Feeling like you need some funky fresh beats in your life? Don’t know who to see before Caribou? Well get yourself down to the Lake Stage and let the sensational Formation encourage dance moves you didn’t think you had. Formation won’t disappoint live, with some additional help they play their instruments rather than hiding behind pre recorded tracks on a laptop.
Here is a mini playlist from these featured artists to tempt you to their sets. Maybe I’ll see you there.
