Last year it felt like Birmingham were giving us everything, even if everything was a little bit similar. Superfood gave us something which wasn’t the surf pop we all fell in love with during 2013.
With an effortless sense of nostalgia, echoing teenage adolescence Superfood made it acceptable to turn those speakers right up. Bubbles is easily the most favoured track on the debut E.P MAM, As the slightly heavier more distorted sounds in the verses, sandwhich the tangled melodies which dance up and down the fret board, make Superfood the ones to watch. Press play and the eyes closed head roll with the occasional leg jaunt is optional but may not be helped.
