Arriving at the LG Arena on the 13th March.
Which is such a good venue. Everything about the LG is amazing atmosphere, facility, sound.
Support acts were;
The Horrors; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJQk0jDZx8o
Only caught the last part of Spector’s set which I am rather gutted about because they sounded amazing. However they are doing a tour and will be back in Birmingham on the14th May so might just go see them if I have some spare money about.
The Horrors were most impressive playing most tracks of there most recent album Skying.They are a band who you watch and become in awe of. When they did Still life I was just amazed at how good they are.
Once the supports had been on and the crowd tightly compacted around the stage with the final checks on stage were occurring and the stage being hoovered with people scurrying up the rope ladders ready to direct the lights.
Florence came on to first perform Only For The Night followed by;
What the Water Gave Me
Between Two Lungs
All This and Heaven Too
Shake It Out
Dog Days Are Over
Leave My Body
You’ve Got The Love
Never Let Me Go
No Light, No Light,
She was phenomenal such a powerful voice and then when she speaks it is like you are listening to a little girl. So humble and so thankful. She knows how to get the crowd going and is an amazing performer as she floats around the stage so angelic. I became so mesmerized by her during the concert because she was just so good. Heart-lines was probably my favourite track of the night. I loved the fact she didn’t do You’ve Got The Love like how it was on the record but she made it more raw and powerful.
I would recommend anyone to see Florence and the Machine.
She is just that good.
